- A
Private Investigator’s Guide to Conducting
- Investigative
Interviews
-
COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
Behind surveillance operations, a private investigator's second
most important skill is the ability to properly conduct interviews and
obtain recorded statements! Most often we are called upon to
talk to plaintiffs, claimants, witnesses, defendants, and insured
parties, especially in cases involving insurance claims- where large
sums of money are won and lost on our abilities to successfully elicit
all of the facts regarding the accident, insured loss, fire, etc.
Insurance fraud is the second costliest white-collar crime in
America, after tax evasion. It is estimated that $80 billion is paid
out each year in fraudulent insurance claims. It is estimated by the
Coalition Against Insurance Fraud that the average American household
pays over $950 a year in additional premiums to cover the cost of
insurance fraud. According to industry estimates, healthcare fraud
alone costs Americans $54 billion a year. Private Investigators have traditionally always been used by
the insurance industry as its “eyes and ears” in the field,
independently collecting the facts surrounding insured losses. Recently, however, we are becoming even
more important to the
overall health of the world’s insurers.
This course is designed to teach and develop techniques
that are required in the toughest interviews- from an insurance
investigation point of view and regardless if the
investigator is working for the claimant or the insurer.
The course of instruction will introduce topics from
interviewing methodologies, obtaining quality statements, and most
importantly- a HUGE statement guide written and developed by
insurance industry professionals that cover the interview topics that
private investigators develop in approximately 93% of all cases.
We are the ONLY online course authorized to provide this well
guarded information!
- An exam will be administered upon the conclusion of the
program. If the
candidate passes with a score of 75% or better, a certificate of
completion will be issued in accordance with CPI standards.
